    JOB OVERVIEW

    As part of our Field Operations Talent Pool (Field Integration Engineer), you will be responsible for installation, commissioning, integration, troubleshooting, and testing 2G, 3G, 4G, and 5G equipment at Customer Cell Sites. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to have plus 5 years of experience with different OEM hardware – Nokia, Ericsson, and Samsung –, and collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineers and project managers, to ensure seamless network integration and optimal performance, and execute each essential duty listed below:  

    MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    • New Site Builds (NSB), New Site Deployment (NSD), Carrier Adds, Indoor Systems, CRAN, COWs: Comprehensive services including installation, commissioning, integration, testing, transport, alarm setup, power management, grounding, SIAD, functional and E911 + CMAS call testing.  

    • Technical Site Surveys: Conducting assessments and creating associated schematics.  

    • Documentation: Preparing and submitting accurate service records.  

    • Post-Implementation Reporting: Producing site packages and field reports with photos, emails, and Excel reports.  

    • Performance Assessment: Evaluating equipment performance based on field data and recommending improvements.  

    • Technical Support: Providing daily assistance for installed telecommunications systems; troubleshooting and resolving issues and alarms.  

    • Equipment Maintenance: Installing, repairing, and maintaining field equipment; ensuring proper maintenance of tools and test equipment.  

    • Time Estimation: Estimating time required for installations and maintenance updates.  

    • Parts Management: Ordering, installing, scanning, returning parts, and managing the part cycle system.  

    • Safety Compliance: Ensuring adherence to company safety and environmental policies.  

    • Additional Duties: Assisting with other assigned tasks.  

    • Configuration: Using laptops and specialized software to load software and scripts as directed by the Remote Integration Center.  

    • Remote Support: Troubleshooting or providing support upon request from the Remote Integration Center.  

    • Equipment Handling: Collecting OEM equipment from customers or company warehouse locations; managing equipment disposition.  

    NOKIA  

    • Commissioning, decommissioning, integration, and testing of NodeB’s, eNodeB’s, Microcells and Macrocells including but not limited to; ALU NodeB 9396d2u/4u, ALU 9391 Macrocell, ALU9926 eNodeB BBU, ALU 9412 eNodeB as well as ALU 7705 SIAD.  

    • Commissioning, decommissioning, integration, and testing of Nokia/AirScale / FSMF.  

    ERICSSON  

    • Receive assignments and deploy to cell site locations to install, commission, and integrate Ericsson LTE & 5G equipment.  

    • Commissioning, decommissioning, integration, and testing of: BB6630, BB5216, BB6651, BB6672, DUS, DUL/DUW/DUG. RBS6000 Series, including LTE 6601, RBS3000. Radios including: RRUS-11, RRUS-32, Series 44, AIR Products  

    QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS

    Qualifications:

    Education:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Electronics and Communications Engineering or related field preferred.  

    • Associate degree or High School diploma with equivalent related experience considered.  

    Experience:

    • 2+ years of technical experience.  

    • 2+ years of LTE and 5G integration experience required.  

    Certifications:

    • OSHA 10 General Industry Certificate.  

    • First aid, CPR, AED training.  

    • Hazard Communication.  

    • Bloodborne Pathogens.  

    • RF Awareness.  

    • Arc Flash.  

    Licenses:

    • Valid Driver’s License.  

    Skills and Abilities:

    • Willingness to work within Maintenance Window hours or daytime as scheduled based on project scope, adhering reliably to the schedule.  

    • Proficiency in cabling (RF, Electrical CAT5/6, T1 Copper, Fiber) and other advanced technologies.  

    • Ability to represent the company professionally.  

    • Willingness to travel within a region, market, or out of the market on a project basis.  

    • Comfortable working outdoors in all types of weather throughout the year.  

    • Technical skills to work independently and within a team to execute responsibilities and solve problems.  

    • Ability to utilize and care for company vehicles and expensive test equipment.  

    • Physical ability to lift 50 lbs. and climb a 12 ft. ladder; able to use basic hand tools.  

    Technical Proficiency:

    • Computer and MS Office proficiency.  

    • Proficient in customer specifications and standards.  

    • Expertise in operating telecommunications test equipment.  

    • Test & Turn-up experience preferred.  

    Soft Skills:

    • Customer Service: Responds promptly to customer needs; solicits customer feedback to improve partnership.  

    • Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication; speak clearly and persuasively in various situations; listens and seeks clarification; demonstrates group presentation skills.  

    • Planning/Organizing: Excellent time management and organizational skills; set goals and objectives; develop realistic action plans.  

    • Dependability: Follows instructions, responds to management direction; keeps commitment.
